Getting Started with My.CCSU


Your My.CCSU e-mail is powered by Microsoft. It provides you with a lifetime mailbox, accessed by going to http://my.ccsu.edu. You will select your My.CCSU e-mail address when you activate your BlueNet account**. Your "@my.ccsu.edu" address will be used as your official University e-mail address. Along with an e-mail address, you will receive online data storage and other tools.

CCSU has a University Policy on Electronic Student Communications that requires all CCSU students to have and use a CCSU sanctioned e-mail address.  Your My.CCSU e-mail address will be used by the campus community to send important CCSU-related e-mail.  It is the responsibility of the student to keep this e-mail address active. 

** Your My.CCSU e-mail address needs to be activated at http://my.ccsu.edu before it can be used. If you do not know your My.CCSU e-mail address, go to https:/acccounts.ccsu.edu and log in with your Bluenet account username and password.  The opening screen after log in will show your My.CCSU e-mail address.**  

In August 2013, we are migrating your My.CCSU student e-mail to the Microsoft Office 365 system. For more information on Office 365, please visit www.ccsu.edu/office365.

Activate your My.CCSU e-mail address:

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to http://my.ccsu.edu.
  2. Enter your “@my.ccsu.edu” e-mail address.
  3. Enter your initial password, which is your 8-digit CCSU ID number (found on your BlueChip ID Card).
  4. Click on Sign-in, then follow the prompts to complete the activation process and change your password.

If you have already activated your My.CCSU e-mail address:

  1. Open your web browser and navigate to http://my.ccsu.edu.
  2. Enter your "@my.ccsu.edu" e-mail address and the password you selected.

Important information about your My.CCSU e-mail account:

  • Your My.CCSU email account is a lifetime account. You will be able to continue using this account even after you graduate or leave CCSU.
  • Important campus-wide e-mail announcements are sent to all student e-mail accounts, regardless of your current status at CCSU. You may set a rule within your mailbox to move these messages to a designated folder if you do not wish to receive them in your inbox.
  • You may set up email forwarding from your My.CCSU email account to your personal email address. If you choose to do this, all e-mail sent to your My.CCSU will be forwarded to the personal address you choose. If you wish to stop CCSU e-mails from going to your personal email address, you will need to disable this forwarding.
