Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day
Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement Day (URCAD) is a
campus-wide showcase for student research and creative activities. This
year’s URCAD, featuring a plenary session with award winners (including
winners of
The Library Undergraduate Research Award,) a lunchtime poster
session, and concurrent afternoon presentations, is scheduled for April 9, 2010.
At
this time, we invite proposals for the URCAD senior prizes for undergraduate
research in four areas: arts and humanities; natural and applied sciences; social and behavioral sciences; and business, education, and
professional studies. Winners will receive $500 and the opportunity for
an all-expense paid trip to the National Conference for Undergraduate Research
(NCUR), which will be at the University of Montana from April 15-17, 2010.
(You must be able to present at URCAD and to travel to NCUR to be eligible to
win. Also, NCUR must accept your proposal for you to be able to travel.)
Only seniors (those students graduating by December 2010) are eligible to
apply. Applications will be accepted through November 25.
In the spring, there will be a separate call for papers for the poster and
presentation sessions.
