PART-TIME TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES IN MUSIC, BEGINNING FALL 2014

Theory/Aural Skills:

The Department of Music at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) anticipates openings for part-time faculty positions in area of Music Theory and Aural Skills.

Qualifications: Master's degree in music composition, music theory or related music field required; preference may be given to candidates with a doctorate in music; demonstration of successful university teaching in music theory and aural skills preferred. The position requires teaching MWF daytime classes beginning Fall 2014.

Musicology/Music History:

The Department of Music at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) anticipates openings for part-time faculty position(s) in area of Musicology/Music History.

Qualifications: Master's degree in musicology or related music field required; preference may be given to candidates with a doctorate in music; demonstration of successful university teaching in music history preferred. The position requires teaching Tuesday/Thursday daytime classes during Fall 2014.

The Department of Music at Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) anticipates an opening for a part-time faculty position in Applied Organ instruction.

Qualifications: Master's degree in Organ Performance or related music field required; preference may be given to candidates with a doctorate in music. The position is dependent on departmental needs/student enrollment.

UNIVERSITY ASSISTANTS





INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY: UNIVERSITY ASSISTANT

Hourly Rate: $15

Department of Information Technology’s Instructional Design & Technology Resource Center seeks part-time (19 hours per week) University Assistant to provide instruction, training and resources to facilitate the use of technology in the classroom to meet the technology needs of faculty and the university community.

Minimum Requirements: Experience working in both Macintosh and PC based environments and experience with Instructional Design/Training required. Technical expertise in two or more of the following areas required: Standard software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office); Web based authoring and instruction (i.e. ExpressionWeb, FinalSite); Screen Casting (i.e. ProfCast and Camtasia); Graphics software (i.e PhotoShop); Digital Video editing (i.e. iMovie, Windows Movie Maker, FinalCut); or Social Media (i.e. wikis, blogs). Must be able to work well with others, possess strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and dependable.  Excellent communication and customer service skills are also required.

THEATRE DEPARTMENT: COSTUME SHOP

Hours: 15 hours per week

Days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Salary: $15 / hour (no benefits)

 

The Theatre Department needs a part-time University Assistant to perform Costume Shop managing duties. Position is available immediately through May 10, 2014.

Qualifications: Candidate should have experience stitching, draping, and pattern drafting. Ability to work well with students is a must.
