Graduate Catalog 2010-12
COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
The content of this catalog is provided for the information of the student. It
is accurate at the time of its posting but is subject to change from time to time
as deemed appropriate by Central Connecticut State University in order to fulfill
its role and mission or to accommodate circumstances beyond its control. Any such
changes may be implemented without prior notice and without obligation and, unless
specified otherwise, are effective when made.
Similarly, the courses listed in the catalog are accurate at the time of its
posting. Curricular changes may occur throughout the academic year. Graduate students
are advised to plan their programs as early as possible with their assigned adviser;
once approved by the dean, School of Graduate Studies, or designee, the planned
program represents a formal agreement between the University and the student.
Only the 400-level courses that are listed in the current Graduate Catalog may be
taken for graduate credit and be included in the student's planned program of graduate
degree study, when approved by the program advisor.
Symbols referring to course cycling information are as follows:
(O) = odd year, (E) = even year,* and
no symbol = course may be offered both semesters of the academic year
Courses also may be noted as “Irregular” and “On Demand”
*Years begin with the fall semester. For example, 2010-11 is considered an even
year, and 2011-12 is considered an odd year.
The list below provides links to individual courses. Please note that a major program
in any particular subject (English, for example) may require courses or offer electives
in other disciplines.
