ALL COMMUNICATIONS ABOUT THE AETNA INSURANCE POLICY ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO THE AETNA INSURANCE COMPANY and/or THEIR CLAIM ADMINISTRATORS - CHICKERING BENEFIT PLANNING INSURANCE AGENCY. THE HEALTH SERVICE DOES NOT HANDLE ANY OF THIS INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS.
The AETNA insurance health plan can be purchased for full or part time students.
FOR FULL TIME STUDENTS:
The 'sickness' portion of the AETNA HEALTH INSURANCE plan appears as a separate item on your bill. The accident portion cost of AETNA Insurance plan is folded into the general fee on your semester bill. You may elect an alternative heath insurance coverage through an outside carrier of your choosing.
FOR PART TIME STUDENTS:
Part time students may elect the AETNA HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN through the University for a combined premium by contacting the AETNA LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY directly.

$10.00 Co-Pay/Deductible: in-network/out-of- network per sickness/mental health visit
$10.00 Co-Pay/Deductible: x-ray and lab fee
$25.00 - Emergency Room deductible
$5000 Inpatient surgery per sickness
$2000 Prescriptions (includes birth control medication)
Other Covered Benefits: pap smear; pregnancy
INQUIRE ABOUT THE DENTAL PLAN OPTION: $302.00 /year
All full time students are required to have health insurance to cover the costs of outpatient treatment of illnesses or injuries, out-patient diagnostic tests and procedures and the costs of hospitalization. Students
are covered either by your own insurance plans through family or employee insurance and/or may opt to enroll in an insurance plan that is purchased through the University. If you elect not to carry the AETNA
insurance plan offered through the University, you will have to waive out of it via the Central pipeline. If you do not waive the AETNA policy, you will be charged for it automatically.
