Stanislaus A. Blejwas Memorial Scholarship (2009) [Polish Studies]

  • Provides support to a currently enrolled full-time undergraduate or graduate student who demonstrates an interest in Polish issues. Preference will be given to a student enrolled in an interdisciplinary academic minor in Polish Studies or to a CCSU student who studies abroad in Poland.

Special Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a statement of not more than 250 words detailing specifically how they have dedicated themselves to Polish scholarship and to involvement and leadership in the Polish community.

Grzyb Memorial Scholarship (2370) [Polish Studies]

  • Provides scholarship support for students of American birth who excel in Polish Studies at Central Connecticut State University.

Ki Hoon Kim Scholarship (2570)

  • Provides support for Korean students attending Central Connecticut State University and CCSU students who want to study or do research in Korea.

Kwang Lim & Hesung Chun Koh Scholarship (2600)

  • Provides support for Central Connecticut State University students studying in the Republic of Korea and/or students of Korean descent who are enrolled or accepted for admission as full-time undergraduate or graduate students at Central Connecticut State University.  

Special Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a statement of not more than 250 words, detailing the need for the scholarship and intended goals during matriculation at CCSU or at the Korean university.

George R. Muirhead Scholarship (2730)

  • Provides support for students who study in Great Britain on an exchange program approved by the Center for International Education.

Yoko Niibo Scholarship (2780)

  • Provides support for exchanges of students between Central Connecticut State University and Japanese or Korean Universities.  Exchange program must be approved by the Center for International Education.

Polish Summer School Scholarship (9350)

  • Provides support to a full-time, matriculated, undergraduate student at CCSU interested in participating in a summer study abroad program in Poland.  Student must have earned 60 credits in residence at CCSU with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in any field of study.

Paul Hochstim German Scholar Exchange (1060)

  • Provides financial support to academically superior students for scholarly exchanges between German universities and CCSU. 

James-Hauser International Exchange (1150)

  • Provides support for student exchange opportunities in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.  

Dr. Mong Koo Chung/Hyundai Motor Company Scholarship (2445)

  • Provides support for high-achieving students engaged in full-time study at Central Connecticut State University as well as students from CCSU studying at Korean universities and students from Korean universities studying at CCSU.

C.J. Huang Endowment Scholarship (2510)

  • Provides support for students from Ouyang Yu Experimental Middle School in Hunan Province, People's Republic of China.  Recipients of this scholarship must be nominated by the Headmaster of Ouyang Yu.

H. G. Peter Wallach Scholarship (2940)

  • Provides support for full-time undergraduate students at CCSU with 30 hours of earned academic credit and a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average who are majoring in political science, who have demonstrated an understanding of current issues in civil liberties and constitutional law, or who will be engaging in study in Germany.

 

Connecticut Community Foundation

Students who have an interest in studying in Poland are encouraged to apply to the Connecticut Community Foundation's Tadeusz Sendzimir Fund which provides scholarships to students, preferably of Polish descent, who are studying Polish language, history or culture. Two types of scholarships are available: 1) academic year awards of up to $5,000 to support ongoing studies at an academic institution/university in Poland, or 2) summer program scholarships of up to $3,000 to support summer studies at an academicinstitution/university in Poland.  Applicants must be residents of Connecticut.  Academic year applicants must be either graduate students in Slavic Studies (with an emphasis on Polish culture) orundergraduate students taking courses in Polish history, culture and language.
