The Learning Center (TLC) provides a full range of academic support services for students seeking additional help and encouragement with their coursework and navigating the academic environment. TLC offers academic coaching, tutoring in mathematics, statistics, and psychology, free on-line eTutoring and eCoaching, placement exams, study skills workshops and time management. Student Disability Services is also located in The Learning Center.
Students who wish to establish a strong grade point average are encouraged to visit The Learning Center early in their college experience to develop an academic success plan and receive assistance with exam preparation, collegiate learning strategies, and time management. The Learning Center also provides graduate assistantships and undergraduate work-study positions for students with strong academic skills who are seeking opportunities to work with other students in a stimulating and supportive environment.
The Mathematics Tutoring Center, located in Willard 101-08, provides drop-in tutoring for lower-division mathematics courses. The tutorial schedule, which includes both day and evening hours, is posted in The Learning Center and online by the end of the add/drop period.
