Central Office

• The Director is responsible for the overall administration of the residence life program including managing the departmental budget and strategic planning

• The Associate Direct manages the housing assignment process, coordinates all late stay and early returns to campus, and supervises the live in professional staff members

• The Assistant Director manages the Resident Assistant Program and resident education component of the department in addition to supervising the selection and training of new student staff members.

• The Residence Life Secretary manages the central office and assists the Associate Director in regard to the housing assignments process

 Live In Professional Staff

The Area Coordinators and Resident Directors are full time administrators at Central Connecticut State University and live in the residence halls. They are responsible for the residence hall students, activities, and facilities. They provide advisement, counseling and supervision, assisting residents individually and as a group. It is their responsibility to work with students and Resident Assistants to create an environment that encourages both social and academic development of the students who live in the halls.  Each night a Area Coordinator or Resident Director is on duty for crisis management and intervention.
