Welcome to my website. I will be updating this website frequently so be sure to check back often. You will also finds links to my research and teaching as well as links to my ongoing work on International retirement Migration to Mexico. I am currently living outside of Guadlajara Jalisco Mexico where I am studying the impacts of North American mgiraiton to Mexico. I am also currently teaching at the Universidad Autonoma en Guadalajara en la Escuela de Turismo y Hospitalidad. I will be returning to CCSU in the Spring of 2010.
My teaching interests include human and cultural geography topics with an emphasis on tourism and migraiotn oriented courses. In addition I teach A Geogrpahy of Popular Music Indsutry course which examines the geoghrpaic nature of hte US music industry. I also teach courses in the THS program and in teh Honors program. Research
My primary research continues to be international retirement migration to Mexico but I also examine linakges between tourism and retiremtn migration, sustainable tourism planning and development, the geography of music, and the role of tourism geography in tourism hospitality education. While my research is primarily academic I do occasionally assist developers and government officials in toursim and retirement development issues. Click here to acces my research pages
