Dr. Mitchell Sakofs, Dean of the School of Education and Professional Studies
		Dr. Mitchell Sakofs has been Dean of the School of Education and Professional Studies since May 2007.  Dr. Sakofs, who received a Ph.D. from the University of Colorado-Boulder, has had extensive administrative experience and has published widely in the fields of outdoor and experiential education. Prior to joining CCSU as Associate Dean in 2003, he was a faculty member at Eastern Connecticut State University, where he also served for four years as Director of Educational Experience and State Certification Officer; Dr. Sakofs is also the past Director of Education and Research for the Outward Bound National Headquarters and past Executive Director of the Association for Experiential Education. Most recently, Dr. Sakofs served as Acting Dean of CCSU’s School of Education and Professional Studies.
