INTERNAL GRANTS:
SUPPORT FOR SCHOLARSHIP AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Central Connecticut State University is committed to supporting the professional development of its faculty as teachers and scholars. Articles 9 and 10 of the CSU/AAUP contract define the internal grants available to faculty members each academic year.
Below are the four competitive funding opportunities administered by the Grants & Funded Research Office.

UNIVERSITY RESEARCH GRANTS: Faculty may apply for awards of up to $5,000 (which may include a stipend of up to $2,500) to support their research and creative projects.

AY 2011-12 Awards: $275,605 funded 61 proposals.
|
|
CCSU FOUNDATION AWARDS FOR FACULTY-STUDENT RESEARCH: Since 1971, the Foundation has provided grant funding to support faculty-student research activities. Recipients are selected by the Faculty-Student Research Advisory Committee.

AY 2011-12 Awards: $13,574 funded 24 projects.

|
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT GRANTS: These awards are provided to full-time and part-time faculty, academic departments, and interdisciplinary groups of faculty to support activities that enhance the ability of faculty to be "productive and innovative professionals."

AY 2011-12 Awards: $57,312 funded 35 full-time faculty projects; $7,067 funded 10 part-time faculty projects.

CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT GRANTS: Funds are awarded to assist faculty in developing new curriculum, redesigning programs and courses, and accomplishing other activities related to teaching and learning.

AY 2011-12 Awards: $76,385 funded 38 projects.
