IT Self-Help: Accessing Netshares from Campus on a PC

Netshares on PCs (Windows computers) are normally mapped as networked drives when the user logs on. To access them you simply need to double-click on the My Computer icon (available on your desktop or on the Start menu); the shares are located within this window and will have a drive letter associated with it. Personal netshares are given the letter "M:" and departmental netshares are usually given the letter "S:". These netshares can be used just as if they were regular drives (such as the C: drive).

If for some reason your netshares are not mapped during log on, please contact the IT Help Desk at (860) 832-1720.

Netshares are backed up nightly so you will not lose any data saved to your personal share.
