WELCOME TO THE CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE AT CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY
The Confucius Institute at CCSU is the first and only in Connecticut. It is operated in collaboration with CCSU’s sister university Shandong Normal University in Jinan, Shandong Province.
The Confucius Institute at CCSU works to bring the U.S. and Connecticut closer to China. We offer Chinese language classes on all levels; organize lectures, talks, exhibitions, concerts and many other China related activities. Each year we provide opportunities for Connecticut high school and college students to travel and study in China. We work closely with the local community on a range of different programs, brining the people of China and Connecticut closer together.
The Institute also hosts an extensive book collection, spanning over Chinese history, philosophy, linguistics, art and literature.
Institute director is Steve Kliger, Executive Director of the Center for Public Policy and Social Research.
