IT Weekly Announcement - June 27, 2013
Current & Scheduled Outages/System Updates
Sunday Maintenance – Reminder
Every Sunday, between 12:00am – 12:00pm, all systems will be intermittently unavailable while important maintenance and updates are performed
Please leave your Windows computers powered ON this weekend, Friday June 28th
This weekend, Java and Adobe applications will be updated starting at 11:00pm on Friday, June 28th. These updates require two or more restarts of your computer (which will happen automatically) however, it is important that you leave your computer powered on. Since computers will be restarted, any unsaved data will be lost so please make sure any data is saved and closed before leaving for the weekend. A suggestion would be to log off your computer, but leave it powered on.
Summer Support Hours
Support hours will be shortened during the summer as follows:
Help Desk – Through Friday, August 16

Green Printer Initiative
Do you have an OLD printer that isn’t doing too well and want a free upgrade? We have a limited number of duplex printers to help departments save on paper and reduce energy consumption. If you are interested in being considered for this program, please contact the IT Help Desk. Please be sure to provide the model number of your printer and state asset tag. These duplex printers are only for networked printing (which requires an available data drop), with a minimum of 4 people sharing the printer.
