Brio Conversion to Hyperion
The University is in the process of upgrading its current enterprise reporting environment to an Oracle based technology called Hyperion. Oracle recently acquired the Brio product, while some terminologies have changed within the product; product functionality and the look and feel of the interfaces remain to be very similar to the Brio product. We do not expect a large learning curve using this updated technology.
Please note there are two major changes in the way previous Brio users access the updated reporting environment.
1. Users who previously accessed reports via the “Brio – OnDemand” server (brio.ccsu.edu) will now access reports via the “Hyperion – Workspace” environment by going to (reporting.ccsu.edu).
2. “Brio – OnDemand” users had to be concerned with using multiple user ids and passwords to login to the Brio server and possibly having to know even more usernames and passwords to access reports. This will no longer be the case for most of the reports accessed within the new environment. Account access to reports remains the same however users will only have to login once using their BlueNet account credentials.
Hyperion - Workspace (https://reporting.ccsu.edu/workspace/index.jsp) can be used by all administrative offices, academic secretaries, Deans, and Department Chairs to access Interactive Reporting reports which have been created. Workspace is accessed using Internet Explorer (PC) or Firefox 3 (Mac) by logging in with BlueNet account credentials i.e. your PC username and password. Please note you must be located inside the CCSU network to access the website. All users’ data access is required to go through an approval process of department head(s) and or functional lead(s) that are authorized to provide access for their respective areas in the university.
