Construction Management- AIC Associate Constructor- Level I Prep
This program is for those interested in becoming certified as an AIC Associate Constructor-Level 1 (topics and materials focused on [optional] exam preparation), and/or for those individuals interested in a robust Construction Management Training Program. The program is recommended for either experienced practitioners or new candidates interested in entering the Construction Management Industry. Sample topics are; Engineering Concepts, Construction Management Concepts, Construction Materials/Methods/Plans & Specs, Bidding & Estimating, Budgeting/Costs & Cost Control, Planning & Scheduling, Construction Safety, Construction Surveying & Project Layout, Project Administration, Communication Skills/Oral & Written, Summary & Review.
Course will provide a combination of lecture, self-evaluation, discussion, case study, work breakouts, and real-world examples of Construction Management Industry Practice. Program includes exam practice and review. At the conclusion, the participants will have ability to recognize and understand the major Construction Management Principle Concepts & Components and will be better prepared for the Certification Examination for Level 1- Associate Constructors.
Note: The AIC Exam, November 2, is an optional, separate event and is presented by the American Institute of Constructors, Constructor Certification Commission, and held at CCSU Main Campus, two times per year, during fall and spring sessions. An application and additional examination fees must be submitted to AIC prior to the examination date.
