HISTORY of PAS, ConnCAP & EOP:

Since 1968, the Central Connecticut State University Pre-Collegiate and Access Service (PAS) department has a long rich tradition in providing access to students to achieve a college education.

The PAS department is the home of two programs:

The Connecticut Collegiate Awareness and Preparation Program (ConnCAP) and the Educational Opportunity Program  (EOP):

1. The ConnCAP prepares New Britain middle and high school students to attend college.

2.  EOP recruits and accepts high school seniors throughout the State of Connecticut to CCSU to participate in a rigorous summer program before their freshman year.  Upon acceptance into CCSU, we counsil, coach and assist them in various aspect of their college career in order to obtain their bachelor's degree.
