Financial Aid and Scholarships for Study Abraod Programs

Most forms of financial aid can be continued while studying abroad since your student status is maintained. Studying abroad may make you eligible for other low-interest student loans.  If you are planning to apply for any form of financial aid, you must do so several months in advance of your program start date.

Financial aid will be available only for eligible students enrolled in a CCSU Study Abroad Program approved by the Center for International Education (CIE), Barnard Hall 123.

The student needs to meet with a FA administrator to determine how much financial aid is available for use in the student's approved Study Abroad Program.  The assessment is based on the student's FA eligibility, the amount of aid already awarded and used, and the location of the program.  The student is required to have a FAFSA on file at the FA Office.

CCSU offers several scholarships and grants to qualified students, which can be used to defray program tuition, fees, and/or travel costs.

April 1 is the deadline for all Center for International Education Scholarships.
