Did you know financial aid is available during the summer term? If you are planning to attend Summer Session and would like to be considered for summer aid, complete the 2013 Summer Aid Request Form and submit it to the Financial Aid Office (Memorial Hall Room 103) by July 3, 2013.

If you receive financial aid for the summer period and then decide to withdraw from the University or drop credits, you may be required to repay all or part of the financial aid received.

Eligibility for Summer 2013

Start by completing the 2013 Summer Aid Request Form and submitting it to the Financial Aid Office. The filing deadline for this form is Friday, July 3, 2013.

Summer 2013 is the last term of our 2012-2013 academic year. Funding is not guaranteed.

The number of summer credits will impact your aid eligibility. Must be enrolled for 6 credit hours.

The Federal Direct Loan Program has annual limits on the amount a student can receive during an academic year. A full-time student may have exhausted program eligibility during the fall and spring semesters.

Failure to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements for financial aid recipients will impact summer eligibility.

A student who has completed his or her graduation requirements and graduated as of May, 2012, is not eligible to receive financial aid.

Awarding of Summer Aid for Summer 2013

To view summer financial aid awards, please access Central Pipeline for Students.

University Grants will not be offered in summer to assist with the payment of tuition fees.

Summer Pell Grant is any amount of remaining eligibility from the current school year 2012-2013.

Students who have been awarded summer aid sufficient to cover their tuition fees will not be required to pay to prevent their classes from being dropped.

  • All offers of summer financial aid are contingent on students completing courses for the current semester. We will review grades at the end of the semester and if you did not meet the requirements of our Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy, you will not be considered for summer funding and will be required to pay your summer tuition and registration fees.
