Welcome to the
Latino University Success Program
The Latino University Success Program (Latino USP) is a state program authorized by the U.S. Department of Education and is implemented by the Latin American, Latino, and Caribbean Center (LALCC) at Central Connecticut State University. This summer college readiness program aims to provide Latino and Hispanic freshmen students with the guidance and support they will need to pursue successfully their educational and career development at the University.

The Summer Program
Students in this unique five-week program will have the opportunity to earn four (4) academic credits, free of cost, prior to the start of their freshman year. This program is designed to help students develop a stronger academic foundation and includes classes in Study Skills, Mathematics, Health Education, Technology Skills, English, and Counseling.
| In addition, Latino USP participants will be provided with:
- Free on-campus residence accommodations for the duration of the program
- Free breakfast, lunch, and dinner
- Free cultural activities and trips
The Latino Mentorship Program
The Latino Mentorship Program provides continuous support for Latino USP graduates during their freshman year at CCSU to ensure their success and degree completion.
