Description
The University of the State of Santa Catarina (UDESC) is located in Florianópolis which lies along the populous southeastern coast of Brazil with easy access to the interior hill country and the beaches, as well as Brazil's southern neighbors, Argentina and Uruguay. Known for its beautiful beaches, nature trails, architectural attractions, and local cuisine, Florianópolis is the capital of the state of Santa Catarina. Students must have proficiency in Portuguese since the university does not offer any courses in English, otherwise the Portuguese for Foreigners course must be taken for at least one semester.
