Description
The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is a major technical university comparable to MIT or California Polytech. KIT’s largest programs are in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering; computer science; and the natural sciences. Aside from the numerous leisure activities, which may be enjoyed in the city area and its proximity to the Alsace region and Switzerland, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology is characterized by unconventional research and teaching projects.

Students may follow an intensive language course (20 hours per week) in the Deutsch als Fremdsprache program (DaF) during their first semester.
