Description

Nestled between rolling hills, where the Neckar River spills out into the Rhine plane, Heidelberg University enjoys a beautiful and historic location. Under the watchful eye of the famous Heidelberg Castle, the university is interspersed throughout the city, sharing its history and intellectual legacy. Founded in the fourteenth century, the university has a strong tradition in the liberal arts and is a leader in the sciences and medicine.

Students may follow an intensive language course (20 hours per week) in the Deutsch als Fremdsprache program (DaF) during their first semester.

Housing

Students will be housed in a student dormitory. Dormitory room reservations will be made by the international office or Auslandsamt of the host university.
