Blackboard Learn
is CCSU's official Learning Management System. Starting with Winter Intersession 2012-2013, the process for creating Blackboard Learn shells is automated. Please follow the steps below to get your Learn shell created.
Please Note: As of Summer Session 2013 Bb Vista course shells are no longer being created.
Follow the steps below to ensure that you will be ready to use Blackboard Learn for your upcoming courses.
Step 1: Request a Blackboard Learn Course Shell
This is where you will put in your request for new Learn shells.
Step 2: Request Course Merge (Combining Sections)
OPTIONAL If you have sections that you want to combine you can complete this process.
Step 3: Assigning Course Content from a Previous Course (PDF)
OPTIONAL If you've used Learn at CCSU before, or have migrated content from Vista, this step will allow you to move content from one Learn shell to another.
Step 4: Accessing Blackboard Learn

Geting Content out of Blackboard Vista:
Migration*
If you would like to migrate a course shell out of Vista and into learn, please fill out the following form.
*Please note, the process of migration is manual. There is not a clean migration from Vista into Learn. The resulting course needs a fair amount of clean-up. Rebuilding is recommended.
Exporting
You can instead export files such as PowerPoint presentations, Word or PDF files. If you would like to only export files (not the whole course shell) out of Vista and into Learn, the following documentation is provided to you.
