Mission Statement
The goal of our program is to establish fun, active, and inviting environments for all skill levels. Various leagues and tournaments are offered to the entire CCSU Community each year. Through participation in our programs, students are able to remain physically active and develop leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship and other important life skills. If you like sports or being active, we definitely have something for you!
Jobs
Are you interested in working as a sports official? We're currently hiring students to referee flag football, soccer, volleyball, floor hockey, basketball, and softball. The position offers flexible hours, competitive pay, and is a great way to stay involved with sports. No experience is necessary - paid training is provided. If you're interested, please fill out an Intramural Referee Application.
RECENTRAL CUP
New to RECentral this year is the RECentral Cup. This competition will be for an overall team’s points championship. It rewards teams who participate in multiple sports and events throughout the school year. Teams will be reward based on participation, sportsmanship, and performance. At the conclusion of the spring semester, a champion will be named in Men’s and Women’s/ Co-ed to the team with the highest point total. Each division champion will receive All-Campus Champion shirts and have their name placed on a trophy in the Recreation Office. This will be the inaugural year of what we hope will become an annual tradition at Central Connecticut State University. For more information click here.
