What is Talent Search?
Educational Talent Search (ETS) at Central Connecticut State University is a federally funded, early intervention program that offers support and guidance for students to complete high school and continue their education in college. The program will identify and assist 500 students in grades 6-12 from populations traditionally under-represented in post-secondary education (i.e., first generation and low-income students) in the Consolidated School District of New Britain.

In addition to counseling and tutoring, students receive information about college admissions requirements, scholarships, and various student financial aid programs. We encourage students to graduate from high school and continue on to the post-secondary institution of their choice. This concentrated effort helps young people to better understand their education opportunities and options. More than 321,000 Americans are enrolled in 452 Educational Talent Search Programs.
