Lifetime Limit for Pell Grants

Pursuant to federal regulations, effective with the 2012-2013 Award Year, a student's eligibility to receive a Federal Pell Grant will be 12 semesters (or its equivalent). This equates to a 6-year limit to receive Federal Pell Grant funds for undergraduate and teaching certification candidates. For Teaching Certification program candidates any Pell Grant funds used as an undergraduate student "count" toward their potential grant eligibility as a Certification student.
