The AAUP is a professional association and the collective bargaining agent that negotiates the terms and conditions of employment for all full and part-time teaching faculty, counselors, librarians, coaches and instructional athletic trainers; and oversees and monitors administration and implementation of the Contract (Collective Bargaining Agreement). It is important that faculty, who believe their rights, under the contract, may have been violated, contact AAUP within 30 days of the alleged violation. Prior to coming to CCSU, faculty have contacted AAUP about child care, housing, salary, benefits, retirement, and health care. After arrival to CCSU, faculty ask about retirement, sick leave promotion and tenure. (see Human Resources, also).
