Keynote Speaker: Dr. Sam Johnston is a research scientist with the Center for Applied Special Technology with an expertise in distance and blended education. Prior to joining CAST, Dr. Johnston was a senior associate at the Center for Social Innovation. She will discuss best practices in online and hybrid classes

12:45 to 1:30

Panel on the Status of Online and Hybrid Learning at CCSU

Interactive Digital Poster Sessions

  • Flipped Classroom cohort will provide some demos on what they are working on
  • IDTRC will showcase some online course tools and address some NEASC standards for online and hybrid courses
  • Dr. Johnston will have a poster session
  • At least two CCSU Professors will showcase elements from their successful online courses

They will summarize their recent report and look at two specific issues: how to make pedagogy, not technology, drive course design; how to create a community of learners on the ground and online

Professional Development Seminar: Building and Sustaining a Successful Scholarly Career

A panel of four published CCSU professors from four different fields will discuss their strategies for starting and finishing a successful scholarly project and/or publication.
