Judy Richardson:  Civil Rights Activist, Filmmaker and Producer

She was a staff member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) in the early 1960s.  In 1964, she moved with the national office to Greenwood, Mississippi, during "Freedom Summer".  Ms. Richardson is co-producer of the Eyes on the Prize series and author of the recently released book, Hands on the Freedom: Plough: Personal Accounts of Women in SNCC.  The civil rights activist is also the director of the documentary Scarred Justice: The Orangeburg Massacre 1968.  She has appeared on "Nightline" (ABC-TV), "Nightwatch" (CBS-TV) and various other news shows in opposition to the image of the African America community and the MOvement portrayed in such films as Mississippi Burning.
