The CCSU music department presents
Composers’ Artsong Symposium
There will be premiere performances of new works by CCSU faculty and student composers. Several of the works are set to music, including the poetry of three of the poets who currently teach in the English Department at CCSU.
All the works are for voice and piano and feature CCSU faculty musicians and guests.
Tuesday, January 29th, 3:00-5:00pm: the open, working rehearsal of the new works will take place. During this time, the composers will be making last minute critiques of the performances.
Thursday, January 31st: there will be two formal recitals featuring the compositions. From 3:00-4:15pm, the students works will be done, and from 7:30-9:00pm, the faculty works will be performed.
All events will be in Founders Hall in Davidson Hall.
The rehearsal and performances are free and open to the public.
