Middle East Update 2012:
What is happening in Syria? Will Israel Attack Iran? What happened in Libya?
Dr. Norton Mezvinsky CCSU Emeritus Professor of History and CSU Professor President of the International Council for Middle East Studies, Wash., D.C.
Events in the Middle East are moving rapidly: Civil war and government repression costing tens of thousands of lives in Syria; the Israeli Prime Minister warning on US television that Iran has now crossed into the "red zone" leading to a "red line" which would result in armed attack against its nuclear installations; a US Ambassador killed in an assault on a consulate in Lybia, an amateur film inflaming passions around the Arab and Islamic worlds.
Prof. Mezvinsky, an expert on the Middle East, will address these issues and answer questions on the present, past, and future of this volatile region, one year after the "Arab Spring."
