ASKED QUESTIONS
If I get a
degree or take a class online, will my diploma or transcript be marked differently
than its on-campus counterpart?
No, there is no special designation
for online degrees, nor are individual classes titled differently than that
on-campus.
Can I take classes at multiple CSU institutions, and
if so can I
transfer the credit to my home university?
Yes. The CSUs (Southern Connecticut State
University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Western Connecticut State University and
Central Connecticut State University) have an agreement to
accept their sister school’s credits. As CSU is an accredited system, credits also transfer outside the system. Prior to taking any class outside
your home university, you should check with your advisor to make sure the
credit applies to your degree as you want it to, and to make sure you are
aware of any paperwork you need to fill out to transfer the credits. After
you pass the class, you’ll have to request a transcript of your grade be
sent to your home university registrar’s office to officially transfer the
credits.
Are my Online courses secure?
Yes. SSL encryption is completely
enabled in all required areas, including the registration and personal
information pages. The universities utilize “compartmentalized SSL”, which
means evidence of security such as the padlock icon or https URL indication,
often is not readily visible, even though SSL is actually in place.
How do I get my books?
