Mathematical Sciences


Mission Statement

The Department of Mathematical Sciences is a Service Department with 30 full time faculty members and approximately 90 part-time faculty members with expertise in theoretical mathematics, mathematics education, developmental mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, data mining and mathematical physics. Our mission is to  prepare students for teaching, business, industry, and research. In addition, we provide students in the Schools of Technology, Business, and Education and Professional Studies, as well as other departments within the School of Arts and Sciences, with the mathematics and statistics courses needed for success in their Fields.
