LGBT Center Staff:
The administrator for the LGBT Center is William J. Mann and his pronouns are he/him/his. William Mann is an author, journalist and longtime community activist, as well as a Central alum. Since 2015, Professor Mann has taught LGBT History, History of AIDS, and American Popular Culture at CCSU.
The University Assistant for the LGBT Center is Nichol McCarter and her pronouns are she/her/hers or they/them/theirs. They graduated from CCSU with a B.A. in English and has been working with the LGBT Center for 5 years. Currently, they is a candidate for a master’s degree in English with a concentration on queer ecocriticism and animal studies at the University of Massachusetts- Amherst. They deeply believe in the philosophy that “there can be no peace without justice for every living being” and they is honored to be able to continue supporting the LGBTQIA+ community here at CCSU.

“Hi, I'm Emi and my pronouns are She, Her, Hers. I'm a 23 year old transgender, polyamorous lesbian. I'm a sophomore and a Chemistry major here at CCSU. During my free time, I like to play video games, write short fiction, and hang out with the friends I made here at CCSU. I am the group facilitator for TNT, a transgender support group that meets Mondays from 3:15 to 4:15 PM. Make sure to stop on by and say hello!”
“Hey there! My name is Myles and my pronouns are he/him/his. I'm an English secondary-education major with a minor in creative writing. When not in the LGBT Center or at Pride meetings, I fill my free time with hiking, fiction writing, and car shows.”
"Hello! My name is Casey and I use she/her/hers and they/them/theirs pronouns. I identify as a non-binary lesbian. I am a freshman who is interested in majoring in Social Work. My passions are singing/songwriting, makeup/fashion and LGBT+ activism. I am a volunteer at the LGBT center and a member of Pride. Please stop by the center and check out what we have to offer!"
The LGBT Center is a part of the division of Student Affairs, and is overseen by the Office of Student Activities/Leadership Development.
