Required Virus Scan
Introduction
As of Spring 2005 CCSU will be requiring that windows machines on the Resnet have virus scan. CCSU has purchased a license for all students of McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise Edition which you may download from the ITS download page. In addition the virus scanner must be kept up to date so that new viruses can be prevented from spreading on our network. Due to the constant maintenance required to ensure that virus scanning applications are up to date, ITS can only support the following virus scan applications.
If you run a virus scanning application other than these you will be required to uninstall it and install the CCSU provided McAfee Virus Scan. Please contact the help desk at x21720, 832-1720 if you need assistance with the virus scan requirement. |
