“Rest Assured: You Have a Trusted Advisor”
Thomas Lorenzetti, Business Development Manager

It’s a great feeling to be able to go to work everyday and help people. A call comes in from a company, and the caller has a special need: “We have recently made some organizational changes and have a group of employees who need supervisory skills.” We listen, propose an agenda, and, before you know it, the training takes place and the feedback begins to flow in. “Great program.” “Thank you very much, you were right on target.” Excellent instructor.” “We are seeing positive results already.”

These and other comments fuel the passion we have for the job we are doing. We want to help people. It’s more than a job for us. Businesses and organizations all over the state need training and advice. And the ITBD offers a wide range of programs to fit most training, production, and management needs.

Our forte is working with companies and organizations to develop on-site training programs within a flexible mutually agreed upon schedule and at a reasonable cost. As part of CCSU, we pride ourselves in having the best instructors, consultants, and program developers. We are very customer focused. And the results are impressive.

Using our Lean Enterprise training and services, for example, many companies have improved productivity 30, 40, and even 50 percent. Our supervisor and manager training programs have empowered hundreds of new supervisors, developing key skills in setting goals, decision making, and motivating employees.

Our Six Sigma Green and Black Belt programs have brought about significant savings to companies who want to improve their bottom line. We have also guided many organizations requiring ISO training and implementation, and we are of course delighted when, seemingly on a monthly basis, a company we worked with is awarded ISO certification. Our most popular programs focus on teambuilding, customer service, sales and business writing, problem solving, and project management. And we also offer a variety of technical programs: blueprint reading, GD&T, FMEA, SPC and a host of computer software programs at all levels.

To help make all this possible, we do our utmost to seek additional available funding sources to help offset the costs incurred. For example, the CL&P “PRIME” program, which offers 100% funding; SBA and federal matching funds; Capitol Workforce Board grants; as well as other grants that we continually search out.

So, as you can see, we at CCSU/ITBD have plenty to be happy about. We are helping a lot of people in their jobs everyday and look forward to the opportunity to do so!
