STATE EXAMINATIONS
If you were hired into a civil service position, you may
wish to consider career development opportunities accessible
through the State's civil service examination process.
Exam announcements for all state exams are posted in
various locations around campus, including on the Personnel
Office bulletin board, located in Davidson Hall in the
hallway near the Registrar's Office. Some exams are open only
to State employees. The University also participates in the
decentralized Promotional Examination Program (DPEP), which
provides that selected promotional examinations be
administered by the Connecticut State University (rather than
the State Personnel Division). The Decentralized Promotional
Examination Program is administered by the personnel office
in the CSU System Office. These examinations are posted on
bulletin boards system wide and require the use of separate
application forms. The Personnel Office can provide
assistance and information.
