All Graduate Assistants must meet the following conditions:

1.      They must be matriculated in the Ed.D program, a master’s degree or sixth-year program or a Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification or Graduate Official Certificate Program.

2.      They must maintain a 3.00 GPA or better in all post-baccalaureate coursework at the University. 

3.      They must be enrolled in, and stay enrolled in, a minimum of nine (9) semester hours (for full-time GAs) or three (3) semester hours (for half-time GAs) of graduate coursework required for their planned program and /or prerequisite courses required to correct undergraduate deficiencies.

4.      They shall provide 20 hours of service to the University each week or 300 hours per semester if they receive a full stipend or 10 hours of service each week or 150 hours per semester for a half stipend.

5.      They may not be employed under any other employment category by the University. 

6.      A full-time Graduate Assistant is expected to make a full-time commitment to graduate study. Consequently, they shall not be engaged in significant employment      outside of the University. Under no circumstances shall a full-time Graduate Assistant hold full-time employment elsewhere.
 

If the Graduate Assistant fails to meet acceptable performance standards and Graduate policies, the Graduate Assistant Supervisor may request to the Dean of Graduate Studies that the Graduate Assistant be removed from the position.  It is the responsibility of the GA or GA Supervisor to inform the Graduate Dean if the GA leaves the position during the semester.
