Environmental Geography Overview
Students may choose to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography with an emphasis in Environmental Geography. This academic track is ideal for students interested in understanding human interactions with the environment and physical systems of the Earth. Environmental Geography courses provide students with a deeper understanding of the interplay between the social and natural sciences. Students studying Environmental Geography are interested in careers in fields such as resource management, environmental & sustainable planning, outdoor/environmental education, environmental assessment/monitoring/restoration, and air/water/soil pollution prevention.
The Geography Department offers the option to specialize in Environmental Geography for an undergraduate degree or minor.
