Research has shown that lifestyle, more than anything else, determines both how long and how healthy people live. Often our cultural environments are hostile to healthy lifestyle practices. That mission of the Fitness Wellness Center is to promote awareness and to develop programs which enhance, and empower the individual to develop their dimensions of wellness. The five dimensions of wellness are; emotional, spiritual, social, intellectual and physical health. Improvement of these dimensions will raise the individual's level of total health. The Fitness-Wellness Center encourages the entire University community, faculty, staff and students to improve their total health to enable each member of the University community to live a long and healthful life.
