Posting Financial Aid to eBill - After a student's financial aid
award has been accepted and signed, the award package is posted as a
credit in the student's eBill account. However, it is important to
note that if all requested verification and other documents have
not been submitted as requested by the Financial Aid Office the
award package will not be credited. The result of this would be
as if the student did not have any financial aid awarded and the
student would be responsible for paying any outstanding charges
on the eBill account. Failure to pay, may result in cancellation
of classes and housing.
Disbursing Financial Aid - None of the
student's financial aid award will be disbursed until funds from the
contributing sources have been paid to the university. Disbursal (or
payment) of funds in the student's account usually takes place the
second week of the semester.

|
Actual Disbursement of financial aid does
not commence until the third week of each
semester, and only after all financial aid
requirements are met. |
|
 |
 |
|
All grants, scholarships, and loans
awarded are posted directly to your CCSU bill as credits. Parent
Plus loans are not, but may be when the financial aid office
receives a signed promissory note and approval notice from the
lender.
| Grants |
Students who have accepted
grants can expect disbursement to begin about the third week of the
semester. |
| Loans |
All
first time borrowers and transfer students of federal direct
Stafford loans must complete an entrance counseling
interview and master promissory note on line at
www.ccsu.edu/finaid
.In addition, all Perkins loan borrowers must complete a
master promissory note, an entrance counseling interview,
and a test at the financial aid office. Federal and state
originated loan funds are transferred by electronic
processing. Disbursement may begin upon receipt of the funds
from the lender. |
Students are responsible for paying
any CCSU billings when due, even though financial aid may be
approved at a later time. Only Financial Aid awarded and accepted by
the student will be posted as a credit to the student's CCSU billing
account to offset any direct cost charges; i.e., tuition, fees, and
room and board if residing in an on-campus residence hall.
 |
 |
|
Failure to
complete any requirements on a timely basis
may result in the student's aid not being
posted against the bill. University policy
states unpaid bills may result in
registration and residence hall
cancellations in addition to late fees being
assessed. |
