As part of our ongoing efforts to continually enhance safety on campus, CCSU now offers a mobile safety app--LiveSafe--that enables you to report tips to CCSU Police, use friends as "virtual escorts" in real time, place emergency calls, and access safety features. You can easily download and install the CCSU LiveSafe app by clicking here or using the iTunes App Store or Google Play (select "Central Connecticut State University"). Be sure to fill in your user profile during the process.
CCSU’s LiveSafe app provides students, faculty and staff with a direct connection to CCSU Police so that everyone can easily communicate their safety needs. Its easy-to-use features help you stay safe and enable us to better protect you. Some of the features on the CCSU LiveSafe app:
Share information, tips and safety concerns with CCSU Police via picture, video or audio messaging.
Use SafeWalk, a GPS-tagged monitoring feature, to let your friends and family keep you virtually covered until you arrive safely at your destination.
Call 911, Call Campus Police, or Message Campus Police
View the locations for all Blue Emergency Phones and location of campus buildings
Easy-to-find information and location of safety resources on and off campus.
…and a chance to win an iPad Mini!
The CCSU Police Department is holding a contest for those who download the LiveSafe app. Once you’ve installed the app, tap the Report Tips icon, select iPad Giveaway icon at the bottom, take a selfie with a CCSU Police Officer or a CCSU Police cruiser, and send it in to be entered in a drawing to win an iPad Mini.
