Blitz modified motion
(a) that each department develop guidelines to assist faculty in following the procedures for promotion and tenure taking into account their discipline or disciplines, and interdisciplinary work where appropriate, in conformity with the standards already provided by the Collective Agreement.
-(b) that departmental guidelines for promotion and tenure be reviewed by their Dean and the Provost for the sole purposes of checking consistency with the Collective Agreement and Senate approved policies on Promotion and Tenure;
-( c) that departmentally approved and administratively reviewed departmental guidelines be deposited with the Senate, which is the repository from which they can be made available to other departments on request.
-(d) that any modifications to departmental guidelines must be initiated by the department and follow the above procedure.
