This coming October 29th the U.S. China Center at CCSU will be hosting China Town Hall: Local Connections, National Reflections on campus at 6pm. It will be held in Thorp Theater in Davidson Hall, and will begin with a reception and refreshments. This event, co-sponsored by the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations will feature a live streaming webcast from Beijing by U.S. Ambassador Gary Locke, and an expert guest speaker, Rebecca Weiner, here in person at CCSU.

The Ambassador will be speaking on the current state of affairs between the U.S. and China, including, but not limited to: the economy, China's growth, business with China, and U.S.-China politics. The Ambassador himself will be answering, live on the webcast, questions e-mailed to him by event spectators. So be sure to bring your iPads, Kindles, or iPhones for the opportunity to personally ask a question.

Our local expert Rebecca Weiner will focus on career opportunities with China, opening business markets in China, as well as the general scope of U.S. - China business relations. Rebecca has more than 30 years business experience working with China, and is a true pioneer and expert in U.S.-China business relations. For more information on Ms. Weiner, please see her bio attached to this e-mail.

This event will be of great interest to anyone wanting to learn more about a wide variety of China topics. It should prove to be of great benefit in helping to foster the 'global perspective' that is a key part of the international business experience.

Please join us at the reception for the chance to network and communicate with others interested in China, and Chinese business. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for your help in spreading the word!
