Natural Helpers Natural helpers are students selected by peer nomination as people with naturally good listening skills, and generally easy people to talk to. They participate in a four day training in August, just before school starts. The training includes listening and referral skills, dispute intervention, drug and alcohol information, self care, and a number of other topics. They are then available to the University Community as a resource for outreach and referral.
