  • Marijuana affects complex motor skills, which can significantly impair performance, including driving ability.  Car crashes remain one of the biggest killers of teenage women.
  • Marijuana can impair judgment.  Using poor judgment about sex can place females at risk for unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS.
  • Female adolescents who become chronic marijuana smokers face a great risk of:
  • lung cancer
  • raised testosterone levels, which can result in increased facial body hair and acne
  • increased risk of infertility
