Marijuana Facts: For Women Only

- Marijuana affects complex motor skills, which can
significantly impair performance, including driving ability. Car crashes
remain one of the biggest killers of teenage women.
- Marijuana can impair judgment. Using poor judgment
about sex can place females at risk for unplanned pregnancies and sexually
transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS.
- Female adolescents who become chronic marijuana
smokers face a great risk of:
- lung cancer
- raised testosterone levels, which can result in
increased facial body hair and acne
- increased risk of infertility
