The Office of Community Engagement at CCSU aims to share initiatives, knowledge, and skills through campus-community partnerships. As a community agency or organization, our office can connect you with:
Interested CCSU students across a wide range of departments who are looking for volunteer and/or internship opportunities
Volunteer recruitment provides additional resources and hands to assist your organization with accomplishing your objectives, strengthen your infrastructures, and delivering your services more effectively to patrons.
CCSU faculty and staff members who can work with you to collect and analyze beneficial data from shared research or collaborate on service learning projects with their classes to share expertise and resources
Partnering with faculty can help form and deepen lasting relationships around collective goals and initiatives.
If you are interested in starting a service learning project with a CCSU department, please fill out the following Online Proposal Form. Our office will be in touch to discuss your ideas and help connect you with faculty and staff.
What is Service Learning?
Service learning is defined as a teaching and learning strategy that integrates meaningful community service with instruction and reflection to enrich the learning experience, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities (National Service Learning Clearinghouse).
