Catholic Campus Ministry would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to CCSU. We are here to walk with you and help you develop your spiritual self as we journey together through the college years. We hope to be a positive alternative on Campus, and to offer Activities and Services that will build us up both as individuals and as a community.

St. Francis of Assisi Parish is the new home of CCSU Catholic Campus Ministry! (  Our parish-based ministry allows us to offer all of the comforts of a home parish experience in a setting where the University Community can come together to live our Catholic faith.  We would also like to invite you to come and visit us at the Newman House which is located just across the street from the Robert C. Vance Academic Center on Manafort Dr., and is just a short
3-minute walk from the Student Center (NH on the Campus Map).

As a student at CCSU, you will have many opportunities to meet new people, study many subjects and continue to learn more about who you are and what your talents are, and Catholic Campus Ministry at
St. Francis of Assisi Parish and the Newman House are here to help you get the most out of your college experience. We offer hospitality and spirituality; a place to come and hang out, have a cup of coffee, eat lunch, watch TV, study, or play chess or cards between classes; a place to come for some quiet time to think about what's going on in your life, say a prayer or a rosary in our Church or Chapel, and take the opportunity to relax in an atmosphere that will help you to be your true self here on Campus. Commuters are welcome to use the Parish or the Newman House as their “home base” before, after and between classes.  Those of you who live on Campus are welcome to stop by and take advantage of our hospitality and spend some time with other like-minded students.

We would also like to invite you to join the Newman Club, a University recognized student club whose goal is to model the Catholic faith through their actions in the CCSU community and beyond. The club meets weekly throughout the school year and is open to new members.

Catholic Mass is offered on Sunday evening at 6:00 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, on Stanley Street just a block behind Welte Auditorium.  Our Pastor is Father Casey and he would love for you to join us as we worship together in Community. The Parish has a Saturday evening Mass at 4:30 PM and Sunday Mass is at 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, in addition to the 6:00 PM College Mass.  We hope this can be a time each week to pray and support each other as we experience the ups and downs of college life.

As the Catholic Campus Minister at CCSU, I look forward to meeting you!

All the Best,
