Dr.
Cavaleri holds a Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic
Institute and has been a Visiting Scholar at M.I.T. as a
member of the System Dynamics Group.

Teaching Interest |
Dr. Cavaleri's courses feature learning through
the use of computer simulation. He adopts an
action-learning perspective that teaches
students how to create new knowledge out of
their experiences in the classroom. In his
Management Systems courses (MGT 348 and BUS 555)
he teaches the System Dynamics method developed
at M.I.T. by Professor Jay Forrester.

Research Interest |
Dr. Cavaleri's research interest include
managing knowledge, organizational learning,
systems thinking, experiential learning, and
leadership. His particular area of focus is the
application of the pragmatist philosophies to
knowledge management.

Dr. Cavaleri's teaching interests include: MGT
348 Management Systems, BUS 555 Management
Systems and Operations, MGT 480 Strategic
Management, MGT 450 Integrative Management and
Policy, and MGT 478 Knowledge Management.

Professional & Scholarly Activities |
Dr. Cavaleri sits on the Editorial Boards of The
Journal of Knowledge Management and Knowledge
Innovation Journal. He also serves on the board
of directors of the professional association The
Knowledge Management Consortium International.
Dr. Cavaleri has written several books on
systems thinking and organizational learning. He
has published in such well-known journals as
System Dynamics Review and Human Systems
Management. Dr. Cavaleri is also a Certified
Systems Integrator in the Institute of
Industrial Engineers, and a Certified Knowledge
and Innovation Manager. |
